Welcome to Hidden Systems.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of readhiddensystems.com (the “Site”), including any purchases of digital products, content, and services offered through the Site.

Throughout these Terms, “Hidden Systems,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of Hidden Systems. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer, or user of the Site.

By accessing the Site or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Site or purchase our products.

1. Our Products

Hidden Systems provides digital educational and informational products, including e-books and downloadable materials concerning topics such as wealth, money, business, sales psychology, human behavior, influence, strategy, ownership, decision-making, and related subjects.

Unless expressly stated otherwise on a product page, products sold through the Site are digital products and not physical goods.

Digital products may be delivered electronically following successful payment, including through a download link, email, or other digital delivery method.

Shopify notes that digital products are commonly made available electronically after purchase and require an appropriate digital-delivery mechanism.

2. Eligibility

By using the Site or making a purchase, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

If you use the Site on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or organization to these Terms.

3. Orders and Payments

All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout.

Payments may be processed through Shopify Payments, PayPal, or other payment methods made available through the Site.

By submitting an order, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, pricing or technical errors, misuse of the Site, or violations of these Terms.

Applicable taxes may be calculated and collected as required by law.

4. Digital Delivery

After successful payment, purchased digital products are generally made available electronically.

You are responsible for providing a valid email address and ensuring that you can access the email account and device used to receive or download the product.

We will make reasonable efforts to resolve genuine delivery or access problems.

5. License and Permitted Use

When you purchase a digital product from Hidden Systems, you are purchasing a limited license to use that product. You are not purchasing ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the purchased digital product for your own personal use.

Your purchase does not grant you commercial reproduction, publication, distribution, or resale rights.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site and our digital products, including their text, written content, graphics, illustrations, layouts, branding, designs, photographs, concepts as expressed in the materials, and other original materials, are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where expressly permitted by us in writing, you may not:

reproduce or distribute our digital products;
upload the complete product or substantial portions of it to another website, platform, cloud folder, file-sharing service, forum, or social network;
sell, resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially distribute the product;
share purchased files or download links with others;
remove or obscure copyright or proprietary notices;
present our copyrighted content as your own; or
create or distribute unauthorized copies of our products.

Purchasing a product does not transfer any copyright or other intellectual property rights to you.

7. Educational and Informational Purposes

The materials provided by Hidden Systems are intended for educational and informational purposes only.

The content may discuss subjects including money, wealth, investing concepts, business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, psychology, persuasion, influence, strategy, risk, and human behavior.

Nothing provided through Hidden Systems constitutes individualized professional advice.

In particular, our content should not be considered:

financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, medical advice, or psychological advice.

You are responsible for evaluating information independently and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional before making financial, legal, business, investment, tax, or other significant decisions.

8. No Financial or Investment Advice

Hidden Systems is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, attorney, accountant, or tax adviser.

References to money, investing, assets, businesses, wealth creation, ownership, financial strategies, or historical and hypothetical examples are provided for educational and informational purposes.

Nothing on the Site or in our products constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or invest in any particular asset, security, business, financial product, or investment.

All financial and business decisions involve risk.

You remain solely responsible for your own decisions and their consequences.

9. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that purchasing, reading, understanding, or applying information contained in our products will produce any particular financial, business, professional, personal, or other result.

Examples, concepts, scenarios, historical observations, case studies, or discussions contained in our products are not promises or guarantees of future outcomes.

Individual results depend on numerous factors outside our control.

You should not purchase a Hidden Systems product with the expectation that purchasing the product alone will generate income, wealth, business success, investment returns, or any other specific outcome.

Some Hidden Systems materials examine persuasion, sales psychology, incentives, behavioral patterns, influence, manipulation, fear, scarcity, attention, habit formation, and other psychological or strategic concepts.

Because our products are digital and may be made accessible shortly after purchase, refund eligibility may differ from policies applicable to physical products.

Nothing in these Terms or our Refund Policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

14. Third-Party Services

Our Site is powered by Shopify and may rely on third-party providers for functions such as payment processing, digital delivery, and other ecommerce services.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to the terms and privacy practices of those providers.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not own or control.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in that policy and as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.

16. Availability and Modifications

We may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or replace parts of the Site or our product offerings from time to time.

We do not guarantee that the Site, a particular product, or a particular feature will remain available indefinitely.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical problems, third-party services, security issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE AND DIGITAL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUR PRODUCTS WILL MEET EVERY USER'S INDIVIDUAL EXPECTATIONS.

Nothing in this section excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HIDDEN SYSTEMS AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR OUR DIGITAL PRODUCTS.

THIS INCLUDES, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION CONTAINED IN OUR PRODUCTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM A PARTICULAR PURCHASE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO HIDDEN SYSTEMS FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hidden Systems and its operator from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Site or products, your unauthorized distribution or infringement of our intellectual property, or your material violation of these Terms.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it later.

22. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of rights that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to that consumer.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, business practices, technology, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.

This version is deliberately more protective than Shopify's generic template in the areas that matter for Hidden Systems: copyright, PDF sharing, no income guarantees, financial/investment disclaimer, and the distinction between analyzing manipulative sales techniques and instructing customers to engage in unlawful/deceptive conduct.

One thing we still need to fix before launch: Shopify says your store's public-facing contact information should include the business name, email, phone number, and physical business address. Since you haven't given me a phone number or address, I haven't invented either.

Also, if you intend to actively sell to EU customers, we should adapt the policies separately because EU rules can apply to digital content, including withdrawal/cancellation requirements.

Next is the Refund Policy. That's the last policy we need to write, and for your digital PDF it should be considerably shorter than these Terms.
